Job Details – ER RN Travel Nursing Opportunity

Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Ohio nursing jobs)

Healthcare Setting: Immediate Care Center (Oncology, Hematology), Emergency Department

Contract Type: Travel Nurse Assignment

Start Date: January 5, 2026

End Date: April 27, 2026

Duration: 16 weeks

Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:30)

Hours per Week: 36

Estimated Weekly Pay: $1720-$1770

Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

Unit Size: 14 beds

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience (ER nurse jobs)

Proficiency with EPIC charting system

Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license)

Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program

Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Ability to float between Immediate Care Center and Emergency Department

Two professional references (one from a manager/director or supervisor)

Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

ER RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with urgent and non-urgent conditions, including oncology, hematology, and sickle cell diagnoses

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Administer medications, blood products, and emergency interventions

Monitor and manage central lines, IVs, and PCA pumps

Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias

Utilize EPIC for accurate and timely clinical documentation

Float between ICC and ED units as required

Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions

Maintain infection control and isolation precautions
