Job Purpose:
The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing on-site technical support, installation, and maintenance for client equipment and systems. This role involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues, ensuring optimal equipment performance, and delivering exceptional customer service to maintain strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and testing of equipment and systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, providing effective solutions to ensure minimal downtime.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their technical needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Document service activities, including detailed reports of work performed and parts used.
- Maintain a high level of technical knowledge through ongoing training and professional development.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies during service activities.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients, ensuring their satisfaction and confidence in our services.
- Manage and maintain an inventory of service tools and spare parts.
- Communicate effectively with the service team and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a field service technician role or a similar position.
- Proven experience with troubleshooting and repairing electronic or mechanical equipment.
- Experience in customer service or client-facing roles is highly desirable.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand complex systems.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting purposes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Flexibility to travel frequently and work in various environments.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
