JusticeWorks YouthCare is seeking a dedicated Youth Transition Specialist to join our team! As a Youth Transition Specialist, you will provide critical support and guidance to youth as they transition into adulthood, helping them develop essential life skills, achieve educational and vocational goals, and build pathways to independence. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with young individuals, empowering them to overcome challenges and unlock their full potential. The qualified Youth Transition Specialist will:
Develop and implement individualized transition plans tailored to each youth's needs, strengths, and goals.
Guide youth in setting and achieving educational, career, and personal development goals.
Teach essential life skills, including time management, budgeting, job searching, resume building, and interviewing.
The qualified Youth Transition Specialist:
Bachelor's Degree in social work; criminal justice; psychology; counseling; education; sociology; political science, and a minimum of one (1) year direct care experience or supervised practice in lieu of the experience requirement.
Valid driver's license, auto insurance and access to a vehicle.
Pass current, applicable clearances.
Pass pre-employment, post-offer drug screening.
Ability to work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends.
