MOC Consultant

MOC Consultant role.

Location is for Reston, VA

Job Description:

As a member of the Enterprise Monitoring and Observability team, you will be responsible to maintain/enhance the various tools/utilities in collaboration with other team members to provide technical support to the internal customers and stakeholders.

Required Experiences

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or other related Engineering fields.

• 5+ years overall experience in IT Industry.

• 5+ years hands-on working experience in Linux and Windows OS.

• 3+ years of hands-on technical experience maintaining/managing the Monitoring and Observability toolset, e.g. Splunk, Dynatrace, Catchpoint, Open Telemetry, AWS Cloudwatch in large-scale on-premises and AWS Cloud environments.

• Experience in supporting mission-critical platforms in an on-call setting.

• Certifications Requirements:

o AWS SysOps Administrator and/or Developer (preferred).

o Azure Fundamentals / Developer certification (optional).

• 2+ years programming experience in Python.

• Experience and working knowledge in using APIs for developing or programming software.

• Skilled in using REST API.

• Knowledge in Disaster Recovery processes.

• Experience in performing database operations using advanced SQL and NoSQL queries.

• Good working knowledge with Microsoft Office as well as other productivity tools, e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Gitlab, Terraform, ServiceNow, xMatters, Catchpoint, Splunk, Splunk integrated Open Telemetry.
