About the Role:

As a Sales Manager, you'll lead and support the daily operations of HR Butler's Sales Team – guiding Business Consultants, managing the sales pipeline, and ensuring client opportunities are handled efficiently from lead to close.

This hands-on, relationship-focused role blends strategic leadership with day-to-day collaboration, providing structure, coaching, and accountability for a team that helps businesses access HR Butler's Payroll, Benefits, and HR solutions. You'll partner closely with the VP of Business Development and internal departments to align goals, improve processes, and strengthen our overall sales performance.

What You'll Do:

Lead, coach, and develop the Sales Team through regular 1:1 meetings, feedback, and performance discussions.

Foster a high-performance culture focused on consultative, value-based selling and long-term client relationships.

Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities are accurately tracked, documented, and actively managed.

Support discovery and prospecting, assisting with client meetings, calls, and presentations as needed.

Analyze call activity and sales data to identify trends, celebrate wins, and guide performance improvement.

Collaborate with leadership to set quarterly goals, monitor metrics, and identify new business strategies.

Manage key operational tools, including the Sales inbox, HubSpot CRM, and SharePoint resources.

Oversee RFP submissions and sales events, ensuring professional representation and timely responses.

Coordinate trade shows, expos, and client-facing networking events, partnering with internal teams to ensure smooth execution.

Serve as an escalation point for client concerns, maintaining professionalism and preserving strong client relationships.

What We're Looking For:

Experienced Leader: 5+ years in sales with at least 2 years in a leadership role, guiding teams toward measurable success.

Strategic & Data-Driven: Skilled in managing pipelines, tracking performance metrics, and using insights to drive results.

Exceptional Coach: Passionate about developing people through feedback, mentorship, and accountability.

Strong Communicator: Confident and professional in leading client discussions, team meetings, and presentations.

Collaborative Partner: Works cross-functionally to align sales efforts with marketing, operations, and leadership goals.

Insurance Licensure: Possesses a valid Ohio Health & Life Insurance license, or has a willingness to obtain one.
