ABOUT THE ROLE
Under the direct supervision of the Electronic Revenue Manager, the Finance Temp will assist with various tasks for the All-Electronic Tolling (AET), Express Lanes, and FasTrak programs. These tasks include preparing revenue settlements, conducting daily and weekly audits to ensure the accuracy and accountability of all toll revenue systems, and performing data analysis as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Finance Temp will support the Toll Revenue and Audit groups within the Toll Services section. Tasks and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assisting in maintaining and updating the Monthly Revenue Statistics report for the Bay Area FasTrak and All Electronic Tolling programs, as well as performing data analysis for management and other ad hoc purposes.
Performing daily and weekly revenue settlements related to ETC tolls and violations, which require coordination with various agencies under the FasTrak program.
Maintaining and updating daily and weekly revenue and traffic reports.
Payment Processing: Accurately process and apply all incoming payments, including checks, electronic transfers, and wires for all entities that include Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC), Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG), Bay Area Toll Authority (BATA), Bay Area Headquarters Authority (BAHA), Bay Area Infrastructure Finance Authority (BAIFA), Bay Area Housing Finance Authority (BAHFA), Finance Authority for Nonprofit Corporations (FAN), Service Authority for Freeways and Expressways (SAFE), and San Francisco Bay Restoration Authority (SFBRA).
Journal Entries: Prepare and post accurate and timely journal entries for all cash receipts and related transactions and perform monthly adjusting/closing entries.

Prior finance and accounting experience strongly desired or related course work
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered you must:
Be able to work onsite in our San Francisco office on Wednesdays and Thursdays (hours flexible). This part-time position is for a maximum of 15-19 hours per week, with flexibility to work additional days remote.
Be enrolled at least part-time in a four-year undergraduate or graduate level curriculum
Major or Minor in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field
Must have taken or be enrolled in at least one Accounting class - Basic Accounting
