Assistant Director of Public Safety
Location: Easton Town Center – Columbus, OH
The Assistant Director of Public Safety plays a key leadership role within Easton’s Public Safety team, supporting the Director in ensuring a safe and secure environment for guests, tenants, and employees. This position assists with the development and implementation of physical security and emergency management plans, oversees day-to-day security operations, and promotes a professional, service-oriented department culture aligned with Easton’s brand standards.
Responsibilities:
Direct and coordinate daily security operations to ensure the protection of property and assets
Develop and lead departmental training programs (CPR/AED/First Aid, de-escalation, etc.)
Support emergency preparedness and response planning, including drills and crisis management
Liaise with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies
Oversee security systems and technologies, including CCTV, access control, and mass notification tools
Manage parking operations and enforcement programs
Assist with budgeting, risk assessments, policy development, and departmental reporting
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; 5+ years of leadership experience in security or law enforcement
Proven experience in team management and program implementation
Strong judgment, professionalism, and ability to handle confidential matters
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Work Environment:
This position operates in both office and field settings and requires occasional travel.
