Travel Nursing Job Details

Assignment Length: 13-16 weeks

Location: Columbus, OH 43210 – Ohio nursing jobs

Healthcare Setting: Medical Oncology – 19 James Med Surg Oncology Unit

Shifts: Rotating Day (7:00am – 7:30pm) and Night (7:00pm – 7:30am), 3x12-hour shifts per week

Hours per Week: 36

Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940 - $1990

Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics

Patient Ratio: 1:4

Start Date: January 5, 2026

End Date: April 27, 2026

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Tele RN experience required

Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license)

BCLS certification

EPIC charting experience required

Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program

Ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity

Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Two professional references (one from a manager/director or formal leadership)

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to oncology patients requiring cardiac monitoring, chemotherapy administration, and symptom management

Manage comorbidities and implement infection prevention protocols

Operate specialized equipment: B450 monitors, GE telemetry system, bladder scanner, Alaris pumps, Stryker beds

Interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases (ABGs)

Access ports, manage arterial and central lines, administer blood products

Start and maintain IVs, assist with chest tube insertion/removal, manage PICC lines

Care for patients with breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers, and sickle cell crises

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, social services

Float to other Med/Surg Oncology units as needed
