Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Nottingham Salary: GBP 40,000 : GBP 50,000 per annum We are currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a well:established engineering company in Nottingham specialising in bespoke machinery design and manufacture.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer to lead projects from concept through to completion and play a key role in the development of custom:built mechanical solutions.

Responsibilities: : Design and develop bespoke machinery and automated systems using SolidWorks.

: Produce detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and full technical documentation for manufacture.

: Manage projects through the full lifecycle, from concept design and prototyping to testing and final production.

: Liaise with internal teams, including manufacturing, electrical, and production departments, to ensure design feasibility and functionality.

: Conduct design reviews, calculations, and tolerance analysis to ensure performance and reliability.

: Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.

: Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement within the design process.

Requirements: : Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

: Proven experience in designing bespoke machinery or special:purpose equipment.

: Proficiency in SolidWorks (essential). : Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.

: Excellent problem:solving, communication, and project management skills.

: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver to tight deadlines.
