Travel RN Job Details

Location: Tupelo, MS 38801 (Mississippi nursing jobs)

Unit: Cardiac Stepdown Unit (16 beds)

Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse

Start Dates: December 3, 2025 or December 17, 2025

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Hours per Week: 36

Scheduling: 3-1-3 or 6 on/8 off schedule

Floating: Required to other stepdown units within the hospital

Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Mississippi Registered Nurse (RN) license

BLS and ACLS certifications (required for travel nursing jobs)

NIH Stroke Scale certification

Preferred: TB and ASLS certifications

Minimum 1 year recent experience in cardiac stepdown or stepdown nursing

Ability to pass Basic and Advanced Dysrhythmia tests (80% or higher)

Flexible to work weekends and holidays (including Christmas and New Year's)

Must not have worked perm or per diem at NMMC in the past 12 months

Complete compliance documentation 7 days before start date

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients

Monitor and assess cardiac and neuro stepdown patients; respond to changes in condition

Administer medications and prescribed treatments

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop patient care plans

Float to other stepdown units as needed

Accurately document patient information using Epic EMR

Maintain scheduling flexibility and commitment to travel nursing assignment

Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training
