Med/Surg RN Job Details

Location: Rushville, Illinois (Zip: 62681)

Healthcare Setting: Med/Surg Adult Unit

Assignment Duration: 13-week travel contract (Start: 11/13/2025 – End: 2/12/2026)

Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30pm – 7:00am), 3 shifts per week

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1780 - $1910

Employment Type: Travel nursing job

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license in the State of Illinois

Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience (2 years preferred)

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Ability to supervise LPNs, Nursing Assistants, and other RNs as charge nurse

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care to assigned Med/Surg patients

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure high-quality clinical support

Supervise and support LPNs, Nursing Assistants, and fellow RNs as needed

Maintain compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulatory standards
