We are seeking an experienced Procurement Consultant with strong skills in contract formation and administration. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelorâ s degree and have a minimum of five years of experience in procurement and contract management (labor and services). Job Summary

The Procurement Consultant serves as a subject matter expert in developing sourcing strategies for the procurement of labor, services, materials, and equipment to support business operations. This role requires a deep understanding of business objectives, the ability to build effective supplier relationships, and the skill to craft well-balanced agreements that align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities include leading negotiations, managing supplier performance and contract compliance, mitigating risk, and driving value through category management strategies. This position may also guide and support junior team members in sourcing and contracting activities. Essential Job Functions

Procure goods and services with complex or high-value requirements.

Assess business needs and align procurement plans to meet those objectives.

Develop and implement sourcing strategies using best practices and category management principles.

Assist with category strategy creation and ongoing improvement.

Perform market, supplier, and spend analyses to guide sourcing decisions.

Lead cross-functional teams during sourcing events and negotiations.

Draft, review, and finalize contracts with accurate pricing, business requirements, and performance terms.

Negotiate and manage business terms while ensuring contract compliance.

Collaborate with internal partners and key suppliers to ensure timely delivery and effective risk management.

Support operational and transactional alignment with procurement goals.

Use contract knowledge to minimize risks and optimize contract value. Minimum Requirements

Education:

Bachelorâ s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field.

In lieu of a degree, six (6) years of relevant work experience will be considered. Experience:

Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in procurement, contract management, or supply chain operations.

Experience working with cross-functional teams is required.

Background in the utility, manufacturing, or construction industry is preferred. Additional Skills

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Proven capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Effective negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.

Experience in category management and strategic sourcing practices. Benefits
