ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications required (ATLS current not required for ABEM-certified physicians)
Annual requirement: 9 hours of Stroke CME and 9 hours of Trauma CME
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Licenses: Active Texas Medical License and DEA (with TX address)
Board: Board Certified in ABEM, ABFM, or ABIM (or osteopathic equivalents)
Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, and PALS required
Experience: Residency trained in Emergency Medicine or relevant specialty
Other Qualifications: CME and case logs for past 2 years; copies of all diplomas, SS card, driver's license, and photo required for MSO submission
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide comprehensive emergency medical care for patients presenting to the ED
Assess, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic conditions in an emergency setting
Coordinate with nursing and support staff for efficient patient throughput
Document all encounters accurately within the EMR system
Participate in emergency response and trauma activations as required
