Forklift Operator

We are seeking a dependable Forklift Operator to join our 1st shift team, Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This position is essential to ensuring materials are delivered where they are needed to keep production running smoothly. The Forklift Operator is responsible for locating and transporting raw and fabricated materials safely and efficiently throughout the shop and staging areas.

Forklift Operator Duties and Responsibilities

Complete daily pre-operational safety inspections on assigned equipment, record findings, and report maintenance needs.

Transport raw materials into the shop for fabrication.

Move fabricated materials from the detail shop to staging areas of Fitup.

Stage materials in an organized manner to ensure production teams can easily locate them.

Work closely with supervisors to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials.

Follow all safety protocols to maintain a secure and efficient work environment.

Forklift Operator Qualifications and Requirements

Experience operating sit-down forklifts with 8,000–28,000 lb capacity is a must.

Ability to safely lift, pull, push, and carry 20–60 lbs on a regular basis.

Comfortable with frequent standing, climbing, and other physical activity.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or with a team.
