Long-term Substitute - French Teacher (High School)

This position is for a long term substitute to cover a leave in Spring 2026 (tentatively beginning in March 2026 for up to 12 weeks).

Essential Functions:

This position will assume the responsiblity for teaching the assigned High School French classes.

Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning.

Designs learning activities to demonstrate the application of mathematics to everyday life, focusing on critical thinking skills, collaboration, and problem solving.

Maximizes assessment strategies to promote student learning and growth in all aspects of the curriculum.

Collaborates with other professional staff members and participates in faculty meetings and committees.

Education and or Experience:

Missouri Teacher Certification in French 9-12 preferred

Substitute Certification* (minimal requirement)

Compensation:

The daily rate for individuals with a substitute certification is $175/day. There is a higher rate for certified, retired teachers.
