Full job description Position Title: Warehouse Technician Salary Range: $48/hr + OT About the Client and Role We are on the hunt for a Warehouse Technician for a Contract position to assist our Client with Warehouse operations in Red Deer area.
This contract is estimated to last for few months.
Work hours are 10 hours a day, Monday to Thursday.
Rate is $48/hr plus OT after 8 hours per day.
A personal vehicle is required to travel to the location.
Mileage will be reimbursed at $0.50/km, and hotel accommodations and per diem will be provided.
The role involves helping organize the warehouse and yard, including sorting and managing parts and supplies currently stored in seacans scattered across the site.
Familiarity with Maximo is required, as it is used for inventory and tracking.

This opportunity is open to candidates who are currently not working.
Key responsibilities for this role will include: Maintain yard and facility cleanliness, organization, and overall warehouse order, including sorting and managing parts and supplies stored in seacans scattered across the site.
Support production processes by ensuring the availability of parts for critical equipment.
Coordinate and execute all 5S projects as assigned by the Supervisor or Lead Hand.
Oversee site waste management, including the coordination and removal of waste materials.
Manage the removal of scrap metal from the site in accordance with IBA agreements and in collaboration with business partners.
Ensure warehouse housekeeping standards are upheld in alignment with site policies, promoting a safe and injury-free workplace.
Deliver efficient and timely services to customers and collaborating departments to meet or exceed business requirements.
Operate materials handling equipment safely and in compliance with relevant regulations.
Promote environmentally sustainable practices within the organization.
Attend all supply chain and warehouse toolbox safety meetings.
Assist with daily operational tasks as needed.
Act as a self-starter, working independently and safely with minimal supervision.
Maintain accurate records, update inventory information as needed, and enter/update records in Excel, SAP, Word, and other Microsoft applications.
Organize and track parts and supplies in Maximo to ensure accurate inventory and easy accessibility.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Lead Hand.
Requirements: High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent (GED) preferred, but not mandatory.
Valid driver’s license.
Experience in warehousing, material handling, and shipping operations.
Trained and qualified in the safe operation of warehouse equipment.
Previous experience in a warehousing role within a mining environment is advantageous.
Demonstrated ability in risk awareness, hazard identification, and mitigation.
Familiarity with computerized material management systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Experience with SAP, Maximo or similar ERP systems is considered an asset.
