Job Description

We are seeking a skilled L&D Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 13-week contract position. This role requires the ability to assess patient needs and provide quality care in a labor and delivery setting, ensuring safety and adherence to best practices.

Responsibilities

Perform vaginal exams and circulate C-sections.

Monitor and recover patients from spinal anesthesia.

Identify and intervene in life-threatening situations.

Implement safety measures and use appropriate patient handling equipment.

Function efficiently in high-stress environments while prioritizing and delegating tasks.

Provide thorough patient care, addressing clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs.

Exhibit strong leadership skills and effective communication.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Current New York State RN license.

BLS and NRP certifications required.

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.

Ability to conduct vaginal exams and assist in C-sections.

Strong knowledge of nursing principles and patient safety protocols.
