Student Worker - Photojournalist Number of Openings: 1 Purpose/Objective of the Role: * Cover photography assignments and provide campus candids to help ensure fresh photography for social media, the OWU website, etc.
* Help with photo organization within Marketing & Communications * Grow knowledge through professional training Tasks & Responsibilities: * Covering student/campus events such as CPB, Student Involvement Office spirit events, club activities, lectures, and ceremonies.
* Taking campus candids (without ties to a specific event) to show the vibrancy of OWU campus life.
* Assist in managing the Marketing & Communications photo archive, including sorting and keywording to improve search capabilities and color-correcting photos.
* Selecting photos for use in OWU marketing & website initiatives.
Qualifications/Skills: * Photography and photo editing experience (on digital SLR camera or iPhone) * Photo editing software experience preferred, not required * Access to personal camera is optional; one can be provided Potential Future Career Benefit: This internship is ideal for any student with a career interest in photography, photojournalism, social media, and/or marketing.
The Marketing & Communication Office provides technical training with a professional photojournalist.
