Job Description
Seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the DUF6 Project team. Use your technical knowledge to enhance plant reliability, safety, and innovation while mentoring others and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Position Overview
Under minimal supervision responsible for performing a variety of engineering and technical tasks in support of operations for the DUF6 project. Serves as a Subject-Matter Expert (SME) for system operation. The specific work assignment may include duties or activities to support the organization in one or more of the following functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned:
Functional:
Operate as a technical expert on infrastructure projects and administrative functions pertaining to the site Engineering Department, or for plant Operations and Maintenance support.
Leads safe and successful execution of plant modification projects, or support of Operations and Maintenance activities, downtime reporting, and short to medium term process improvement initiatives.
Applies subject matter expertise to coach, mentor and develop other professionals.
Leads other professionals through review and delegation of work.
Effectively communicate and coordinate activities with internal and external project managers, technical personnel, and customers on engineering/technical issues.
Plans, develops, and coordinates implementation of complex design changes
Identifies and implements improvements/modifications as necessary
Establishes a list of potential suppliers of parts, and a spare parts minimum/maximum inventory for SSCs in assigned systems
Tracks and trends equipment failures for assigned systems
Interfaces with other disciplines, site personnel, and/or external organizations to meet project requirements
Leads or oversees system/component troubleshooting
Provides technical support to control room operations and plant operations
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering discipline or related science or equivalent
9+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
1+ years of nuclear experience
