Join our healthcare team and make a difference in a supportive, collaborative environment while enjoying the charm of a historic city.\n\n\nNorth Carolina Healthcare Job Details\n\n Weekly Estimated Pay: $1680 - $1800\n Location: Wilson, NC 27893 (Eastern North Carolina nursing jobs)\n Setting: Labor & Delivery (L&D), OB/GYN, Med/Surg overflow\n Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract (Start: 12/14/2025 – End: 3/15/2026)\n Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 36 hours/week\n Weekend Requirement: Rotating every other weekend\n Call Requirement: Minimal\n Unit Details: 6 L&D beds, 1 triage/recovery, in-unit OR, postpartum unit with 12 beds\n Patient Ratios: L&D per AWHONN standards; Postpartum 3-4:1 (max 6:1)\n Electronic Health Record: Meditech, GE Centricity\n\n\nL&D Registered Nurse Qualifications\n\n Active RN license (North Carolina or compact state)\n Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience\n BLS certification (AHA)\n ACLS certification\n NRP certification\n Fetal Monitoring class completed within the last 2 years\n Ability to circulate in the OR for L&D preferred\n Strong communication and teamwork skills\n\n\nL&D RN Responsibilities\n\n Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a busy Labor & Delivery unit\n Monitor patients according to AWHONN standards and respond to changes in condition\n Circulate for cesarean sections and assist in the operating room as needed\n Float to postpartum or med/surg overflow units as required\n Accurately document patient care using Meditech and GE Centricity\n Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes\n Maintain a safe, supportive, and professional environment for patients and families\n\n\n Why Choose Wilson, NC?
