In this role, you will be responsible for actively designing, expanding and continuously advancing the future of our Marriott Associate Design System (MADS). Your work will involve supporting hands-on efforts, overseeing governance processes, and ensuring that the design system enhances the associate experience across our business.
Our system supports business, engineering, and design teams in developing tools and experiences that empower our associates to deliver exceptional guest service.
You will partner closely with the Director of Associate Experience and Engineering colleagues in driving harmony and connection between products so the overall associate experience is accessible, seamless, easy and intuitive.?
This position requires the ability to produce technical documentation, leverage Figma's advance technical features, and provide guidance to both designers and developer consumers of the design system.
A strong portfolio is critical.
Your portfolio should showcase experience in maintaining and contributing towards design systems, ideally within large-scale organizations, with particular emphasis on design-to-code handoff, accessibility, governance efforts, and documentation.
CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience 5+ years of relevant experience in UX/UI or digital product design with proven design system expertise.
4-year undergraduate degree, with bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in relevant discipline Experience in multiple of the following user experience disciplines: user experience (UX), interaction design, and visual design Experience with major, large-scale global digital apps, web sites, or other digital products Proven experience with design system is defining and deploying consistent, reusable componentry and patterns across various product portfolio Well versed in industry best practices for design system documentation and governance process High expertise in design tools (Figma, tokens-based workflows, documentation platforms like Storybook/Zeroheight) and design-to-code handoff pipelines.

Delivers measures, and improves designs based on quantitative and qualitative feedback using various user research methodologies?
Comfortable with multiple qualitative and quantitative research methods, like surveys, usability testing, multivariate testing, A/B testing, etc.?
Breaks down designs into options/variables for A/B or multi-variate testing?
