I am currently recruiting for an Oracle Database Manager for one of our direct clients in the US. Below are the specs for the role:

Job Title: Oracle Database Manager

Work Location: Remote (Travel to client in Dallas, TX once a month for 2-3 days)

Duration of Assignment: 6+ Months

Pay Rate Range: $90.00 - $95.00/hr on W2

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

The team is seeking a highly skilled Oracle Database Manager to lead and oversee a team responsible for the migration of large Oracle databases from on-premises to cloud environments. The Manager will have primary responsibility for managing the overall team, providing key client interface, and overseeing the coordination with the offshore team. This role involves occasional travel within the US for client workshops and requires strong leadership, client and project management, and Oracle database technical architecture skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership:

o Manage and provide Technical direction to the overall project team for Oracle database migration, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.

o Oversee the coordination with the offshore team, ensuring seamless integration of offshore and onshore efforts.

• Client Management:

o Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.

o Conduct daily, weekly meetings, client workshops and meetings to outline project plans, progress, and address any concerns.

• Project Oversight:

o Oversee the database migration strategy and execution for large Oracle databases transitioning from on-premises to cloud.

o Ensure data security and compliance with client-required industry standards throughout the migration process.

o Provide guidance and technical oversight to the team regarding Oracle DBA migration, administration and upgrade process

• Communication and Coordination:

o Maintain open and effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and the project team to ensure transparency.

o Coordinate with the offshore team to manage timelines, deliverables, and key objectives effectively.

• Travel Requirements:

o Occasional travel within the United States for on-site client workshops and meetings as needed.

• Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold the firm's respectful and courteous work environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Significant experience in Oracle Database Administration with large-scale migration projects.

• Strong knowledge of Oracle Exadata.

• Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and client relationships.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client-facing skills.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred but not required.

• Significant experience in Oracle Database Administration with large-scale migration projects.

• Strong knowledge of Oracle Exadata.

• Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and client relationships.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client-facing skills.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
