PL - Oracle Forms Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Forms Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Oracle Forms and PL/SQL development. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining Oracle Forms applications while working closely with other team members to enhance and improve legacy systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and enhance Oracle Forms applications using Oracle Forms 6i/11g and Oracle Database technologies.

Design and implement user-friendly interfaces in Oracle Forms to ensure smooth user experiences.

Write efficient, optimized PL/SQL code to interact with Oracle databases.

Perform database integration, ensuring data integrity and optimized queries.

Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues with Oracle Forms applications.

Optimize performance of Oracle Forms applications and queries.

Support system upgrades, patches, and migrations as required.

Document development processes, system modifications, and other technical details.

Ensure code is developed according to best practices and standards.

Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment. Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience as an Oracle Forms Developer (3+ years preferred).

Strong proficiency in Oracle Forms 6i/11g and PL/SQL development.

Familiarity with Oracle Database (preferably 11g or higher).

In-depth understanding of database design, optimization, and SQL.

Experience in writing stored procedures, functions, and triggers.

Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.

Familiarity with Oracle Reports, Oracle Workflow, and other Oracle technologies is a plus.

Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Knowledge of software development best practices and methodologies.

Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git, SVN). Desired Skills:

Understanding of database performance tuning and SQL optimization.

Experience with Oracle Forms deployment and application maintenance.

Knowledge of Oracle WebLogic Server and application deployment processes.

Prior experience with integrations between Oracle Forms and other applications. Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

3+ years of professional experience in Oracle Forms development.
