Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) Jobs – Night Shift in Weston, West Virginia

West Virginia Nursing Job Details

Location: Weston, WV 26452 (West Virginia nursing jobs)

Facility Type: 70-bed rural acute care and telemetry hospital

Contract Length: 13-week RN contract (extension possible)

Start Date: 12/15/2025

Shift: Night shift, 12 hours (6:45pm – 7:15am), 3–4 shifts/week

Schedule: Weekdays with every other weekend required

Patient Ratio: 1:5

EMR System: Cerner

Scrubs: Burgundy (not provided)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience

Active West Virginia or Compact RN license (pending license considered)

BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association required)

PALS certification preferred

Strong telemetry skills required; pediatric and charge nurse experience preferred

Ability to float to ER, ICU, and OP-Surgery units as needed

Provide at least 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years

Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Must reside at least 100 miles from facility (75–100 miles considered case-by-case)

RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care to adults, geriatrics, adolescents, and occasional pediatric patients

Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response/code situations

Administer medications, blood products, and manage IVs, feeding tubes, and surgical drains

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services

Float to ER, ICU, and OP-Surgery units to support patient care as needed

Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Cerner EMR

Complete orientation and required modules prior to start date
