Could you be the full-time Transverse Engineering Department Head in Copenhagen we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your leadership and engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dynamic and forward-thinking teammates.

You'll play a key role in defining and implementing our engineering vision, ensuring that our team remains competitive and aligned with evolving technologies. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including HR, project management, and technical experts), provide support to project/program execution, and promote Alstom’s values to your team, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of motivating, developing, and recognizing your team members, but also ensuring the deployment and improvement of processes, methods, and tools within your scope.

We’ll look to you for:

Defining and implementing the engineering vision, including team profiles, skills, and technology evolution

Setting clear team goals, delegating tasks, and establishing deadlines

Providing support to team project/program execution

Promoting Alstom values and fostering a collaborative environment

Motivating, evaluating, and developing team resources in cooperation with HR

Recognizing high performance and rewarding accomplishments

Ensuring the deployment and improvement of processes, methods, and tools

Providing Reference Library inputs and improvement roadmaps

Reviewing workload forecasts and ensuring adequate staffing for projects and programs

Participating in tender design reviews and documentation reviews

Committing to Project/Program/Tender Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) objectives

All About You

We value passion and attitude over experience. While we don’t expect you to have every skill, here are some that will help you succeed:

Degree in Engineering or a related field.

Experience in engineering management and team leadership.

Knowledge of certification and authorization processes in regulated industries.

Familiarity with configuration management tools and practices.

Understanding of requirements engineering and compliance standards.

Knowledge of process improvement and engineering tools.

A certification in project management or leadership is a plus.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Adaptability and a continuous learning mindset.
