ROLE, FUNCTION & ORGANIZATION
The Plumber 1 is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role involves reading blueprints, ensuring code compliance, and coordinating with other trades to deliver safe, high-quality work. The Plumber 1 supports project completion within scope, schedule, and company standards while upholding the company's mission and values.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plumbing Installation & Maintenance:
Install, repair, and maintain piping systems, fixtures, and related plumbing components used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities
Perform routine service and preventative maintenance on plumbing systems and equipment to ensure proper operation and code compliance
Install and service plumbing systems, fixtures, piping equipment, and controls while working in cooperation with other trades and laborers
Planning & System Layout:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply lines, and drainage systems
Plan and execute plumbing installations in accordance with project plans and applicable building codes
Code Compliance & Project Execution:
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with local plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company standards
Coordinate work with other trades and laborers to ensure seamless integration with electrical and mechanical systems
Complete assigned projects efficiently, accurately, and within scope, while maintaining high-quality workmanship
Safety/Hazard Recognition & Elimination:
Pre-plan and identify the methods to eliminate hazards daily by work task.
Execute skill in observing habits and hazards of others and bringing it to their attention.
Uphold safety as the most important goal of our company. Support goal of achieving zero accidents.
Promote and encourage open communication between field and office regarding all safety concerns, suggestions, improvements, and PPE needed.
Obtain safety training as expected by all company personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma (or equivalent) required
3 years of plumbing experience
Must possess a valid Driver's License
Familiar with interpreting plumbing blueprints
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Positive safety attitude and personal integrity - both are non-negotiable
Must be a self-starter and possess a positive attitude
Desire to learn & grow personally and professionally
Ability to accurately multi-task in a fast-paced environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Travel to various construction sites is essential, exposing employee to outdoor elements, noise, and the need to stand and walk.
Other requirements may include the ability to kneel, crawl, bend, climb ladders, reach and handle with fingers, and differentiate colors.
Ability to maintain a consistent workload that may involve significant physical manual labor. Projects may be inside or outside, making exposure to the elements possible.
Perform work at various heights, up to 90' from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, and cat walks and be able to work in restricted areas
Lift at least 50 pounds
Constant moving on your feet
Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers
