Opportunity:

Physician Assistant - Surgery Vascular

Job Details:

Contract period: December 1 - April 2

Work Monday-Thursday, 7am-5pm (4 days, 10 hour shifts)

Weekend call 1: 4 rotation (Friday evening through Monday morning)

When on weekend call, round with vascular surgeon once on Saturday and once on Sunday mornings

Perform surgeries (2-6 per day) and round on 10-20 inpatients

Duties include vein harvesting, arteriovenous procedures, aortagrams, bypasses, angiograms, transesophageal echocardiography, T-bars, B-bars, TAAs, endovascular procedures, discharge orders

May occasionally be involved in trauma cases

EMR system: Epic

Adult patient population

Must be certified as a PA

Ohio license required

ACLS certification required

Minimum 1 year experience required

This facility is a 434-bed Level 1 trauma center providing comprehensive surgical services with a focus on vascular procedures. The busy surgical department employs multiple physician assistants who work collaboratively with vascular surgeons in both operating room and inpatient settings. The facility utilizes modern equipment and technology to support a wide range of vascular procedures and emphasizes quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
