Senior Java/Spring Developer

Harvey Nash has an urgent requirement for Java/Spring Migration Developer for a public sector client in Edinburgh.

10 week contract

Outside of IR35

£400 a day

Two days a week onsite in Edinburgh

Candidates must have a valid Disclosure Scotland check

The Role

Upgrade work on Spring (Framework) to 5.3.x and Spring Security to 5.8.x.

We are looking for the following experience:

Experienced Java development (Java 8/11/17).

Spring Framework (MVC, transactions, Security).

Proven migration experience from Spring 2.x/3.x - 5.x/6.x

Preferably experience in upgrading to Hibernate 5.6.

Experience remediating security vulnerabilities (CVE mitigation, CSRF/session handling).

Strong JSP/JSTL experience and ability to retire legacy Tiles layouts.

Maven, Jenkins CI/CD, TomEE 8 deployment experience.
