Software Engineer (.Net) – Glasgow / Edinburgh Hybrid – 52K

Lorien’s client, a fast-growing, global-reaching SAAS company with a great reputation in their domain, are currently looking to hire a Software Developer / Senior Developer with a background in C# to join their team, and play a key role in the delivery of quality code in a dedicated and evolving SaaS setting.

About the Role

As a Software Developer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, performant, and secure code while contributing to agile development practices. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining technical content using the company development stack, supporting review processes, and addressing issues efficiently. The role also involves collaborating with stakeholders and contributing to the delivery of tasks in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

Writing high-quality, performant, secure, tested code

Supporting code and process review processes, suggesting improvements as you work

Fixing bugs and managing support issues effectively

Working in sprints and contributing to Product Increment Planning using scaled Agile approaches

Presenting progress against objectives to the team

Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders

Skills and Qualifications

Skills across: C#, JavaScript, T-SQL, Markdown, HTM, CSS/LESS, PowerShell, YAML, and Groovy

Frameworks including React and .NET

Database management with SQL Server

Proficiency with tools such as Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Notepad++, Git, and SSMS

Experience with GitHub Actions, Azure services, and AWS services

Excellent prioritisation, time management, and stakeholder management skills
