Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 (DOE)

Overview

We’re working with a well-established and forward-thinking organisation seeking an experienced IT Team Lead to join their team. The business operates within a Microsoft-centric environment and is continuously evolving its bespoke systems and services. You’ll be stepping into a leadership role with hands-on responsibilities, guiding two skilled IT operatives and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support a small IT team

Provide 1st and 2nd line support across the organisation

Manage and maintain Microsoft 365 systems

Support authentication systems, ideally with Azure experience

Prioritise workloads and delegate tasks effectively

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure IT systems meet business needs

Contribute to the development and improvement of bespoke software and services

Maintain documentation and ensure best practices are followed

What We’re Looking For

Minimum 2 years’ experience in an MSP or similar IT support environment

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and general Microsoft infrastructure

Familiarity with Azure Active Directory and authentication protocols

Solid understanding of IT systems, networking fundamentals, and system administration

Basic understanding of firewalls and IT security principles

Comfortable with scripting or programming concepts (beneficial but not essential)

Excellent communication and organisational skills

A mature, proactive approach with the ability to lead by example

Desirable Skills

Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role

Exposure to bespoke or custom-built software systems

Understanding of ITIL or similar frameworks

Azure Authentication experience
