Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position in Ohio, requiring Level 1 trauma and circulating experience. Responsibilities

Hospital-based Operating Room setting

Assignment involves circulating across multiple specialties, including Orthopedics (Trauma, Joints, Sports Medicine, Shoulders) and DaVinci robotic procedures

Shifts are typically 12 hours, Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM

Call is required, generally after 7:00 PM on weekdays and 24-hour call on weekends

May float to 2nd floor Outpatient ORs

Patient population primarily surgical with Level 1 trauma cases

Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience required

Primary responsibility is circulating for surgical cases in a Level 1 trauma environment

May be required to assist with conscious sedation and robotic procedures

Must be available for on-call shifts, including weekends

Accepts local candidates at the same rate

Previous employees are eligible after a 6-month gap; current employees are not eligible

Fingerprinting must be completed promptly upon contract signing

Requested time off must be submitted with application

Scrub attire guidelines will be provided during orientation

First-time travelers are encouraged to have prior travel or complex OR experience Requirements

Active OH or compact RN license in hand

Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required

Level 1 trauma experience is required

Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred

Experience circulating in OR is required; conscious sedation and scrub experience preferred

Epic charting experience required

Associate degree or higher in Nursing from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Two professional references required, with at least one from a supervisor or manager Benefits
