Project Management (Design & Construction), Cost Consulting (Estimating, Cost Control, Commercial, Tender Management)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a bilingual (English & Korean) Electrical/MEPF Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of site-based project experience in ground-up construction, with a technical background in Electrical or MEP Engineering. Experience in managing large-scale commercial and advanced technology projects (large-scale data center project) preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

This role will form part of an existing project team and will be responsible for managing the MEPF (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection) aka M&E elements of the project(s), managing M&E Design, Construction and Testing & Commissioning. General responsibilities include but not limited to:

Managing design consultants including peer reviewers

Tracking of design issues

Coordinating all technical information.

Review and approve design documents.

Liaising with all key stakeholders including General Contractor, Commissioning Agent, Clients, 3rd Party Inspectors, Design Team members etc.

Chair M&E design coordination meetings.

Attending progress meetings and design team meetings.

Preparing and monitoring of technical specifications

Appointing and managing internal and external consultants.

Review and manage coordination in 3D models

Lead the effort to ensure timely resolution of design and construction issues

Lead discussion with local authorities such as KEPCO, KDHC, Building Department etc.

Managing the M&E construction installation including testing and commissioning to ensure compliance with design, schedule and cost

Review and assist in developing budget estimate

Develop and update project schedule (design and construction)

Develop and track long lead equipment procurement schedule

Develop bid documents for GC and major equipment

Evaluate and validate bids

Change order review and approval

Design QA/QC

Construction QA/QC

Progress payments review and approval

Project risk identification and establish risk mitigation procedures

Review and enforce safety program

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, MEP, Construction Management or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of site-based project experience in ground-up construction, preferably with a technical background in MEP Engineering.

Experience in managing large-scale commercial and advanced technology projects (large-scale data center project) preferred.

Proven leadership in managing complex stakeholder relationships, including clients, designers, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

Strong technical knowledge of construction methods (design, construction, risk management, cost control, and procurement), materials, and industry best practices.

Cost estimating and management skills are an advantage.

Working knowledge of Korean construction regulations, safety standards, and permitting processes.

Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English (verbal and written).

Proficient in construction management tools such as MS Office, Bluebeam, project management software (Procore or similar), cost management tools, scheduling software (Primavera or similar), and BIM software.

Ability to work collaboratively within an existing project team and manage related scopes independently.

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with a focus on resolving complex project challenges.
