What you’ll be doing:
Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders as required ensuring that their requirements are adequately supported and that their needs are fully considered and incorporated where appropriate and agreed
Maintain a series of electronic Customer Master Record index (MRI) books using exported SAP reports, Word and Excel data combined into a single deliverable bookmarked Adobe PDF file
Become SAP Administrator assistant to cover in times of absence, processing First issue Notes (FINs) and Engineering Request (ERs) on behalf the Configuration department. Provide user support
Become SAP ZA Repairs assistant to cover in times of absence. Creating and processing SAP ZAs on behalf the Configuration department. Provide user support
Undertaking secretariat duties, organise meeting and construct the Agenda and Minutes for Local Technical Committees (LTC) with the Customer. Progress chasing previous Minutes actions
Help provide project guidance regarding configuration standards requirements
Help provide user guides for SAP and Configuration processes, providing one-to-one training where necessary
Involvement in Continuous Improvement and Learning from Experience (LfE) activities
Your skills and experiences:
An engineer with a moderate breadth of knowledge and experience
Understands theories and concepts in an engineering discipline area gained through professional qualification or equivalent
Understands engineering approaches, processes and procedures
Engineering Design structure and document change control background knowledge is essential
SAP experience or similar packages

Configuration Management Team (Torpedo Engineering Support):
As a Configuration Support Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and traceability of complex weapon system configurations throughout their lifecycle. Working alongside design, manufacturing and support teams, you will ensure engineering data is controlled, documented and compliant with relevant defence standards.
