Position: ICU RN – Nights Facility: Deaconess Crossroads / Crossroads Community Hospital Location: Mt. Vernon, IL Department: ICU / Nursing Administration Contract Details: Contract Length: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours per Week Radius Rule: No local candidates (must live 40+ miles from facility) Shift Information: Schedule: 12-Hour Nights 19:00 – 07:00 Weekend/Holiday: Every Other Weekend / Every Other Holiday On-Call/Call Back: None required. In low census situations, call-back arrival within 1 hour if needed. Float Requirements: May float to ER or Med-Surg as needed Floating to ED is rare (orientation provided if required) May occasionally cover as House Supervisor House Supervisor Responsibilities: Serve as a resource for staff; directors available for consultation. Orientation (Preferred): A few shifts alongside the current supervisor reviewing daily duties (e.g., crash cart checks, temperature logs, supply/med retrieval). Requirements: Licensure: Active Illinois RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA) – required at submission Experience: Minimum 2 years ICU/Critical Care experience Charting System: Epic (required) Skills: Strong ICU/Critical Care background; adaptable, dependable, and team-oriented Unit Information: Unit Type: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Beds: 7 (Licensed) Patient Ratio: Typically 2:1 Environment: Fast-paced unit requiring critical thinking, resilience, and teamwork Additional Information: Scrubs: Navy Blue COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required (subject to change) Orientation Week: GSA hours not guaranteed; standard hours apply thereafter Holiday Hours: Traveler guaranteed weekly hours except during unit-closure holidays
