Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for evening shifts, with primary MRI responsibilities and the flexibility to assist in CT as needed.
Responsibilities
Position is in a teaching hospital with Level 1 Trauma, covering inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room settings
Primary responsibility is MRI with coverage of STAT or urgent cases; assistance in CT when no MRI exams are scheduled
Handles a daily caseload of 35-40 cases using Siemens MRI equipment in 3 rooms
Procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, diffusion, gradient echo imaging, image post-processing, MIP, MPR, perfusion, spin echo, surface coils, and weighted imaging
Uses EPIC EMR; EPIC experience preferred
Evening 3x12 hour shifts, 3pm–3am, with rotating holidays and on-call requirement for STAT orders
Expected to assist the CT department when not performing MRI exams
Experience in outpatient, inpatient, ER, and trauma settings is beneficial
Team-oriented environment within a major teaching hospital
RTO (time off) must be requested with submission and built into contract
Mandatory fingerprinting must be completed immediately upon contract signing
Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
Former employees are eligible if separated from the facility for 6 months or more
Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital are ineligible for traveler roles
Rotating holiday coverage is required
Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
Requirements
Current ARRT certification required
BLS certification required
Valid ODH license required if applicable
Recent experience with inpatients and Siemens equipment preferred
Ability to start IVs, perform EKGs, and utilize PACS and contrast agents
Minimum of 2 professional references, with at least 1 from a supervisor or leadership role
