Crafted Highlights:

In the role of Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the financial accounting and reporting activities of the teams.

The role is based in St. John’s, Newfoundland and reports to our Supply Chain Finance Manager. The Financial Analyst position supports the St. John’s and Moncton Breweries and Atlantic distribution network performing various functions within and outside of finance and is responsible for financial reporting, providing accounting and reporting guidance, technical accounting research and financial reporting system maintenance to enable internal and external financial reporting and analysis.

What You’ll be brewing:

Support the preparation of monthly financial reporting packages including P&L, variance analysis, and forecasting

Preparation of weekly internal reporting packages

Application of financial analysis techniques, tools, and concepts to help drive business results

Application of accounting principles and internal controls to provide objective, timely, and accurate financial information to meet / exceed financial reporting requirements and to help drive business results

Support annual budgeting process, liaising with business partners as required to drive budget completion

Preparing journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure proper consolidated financial reporting

Preparing monthly remittances of excise taxes, MMSB recycling fees and provincial liquor board commissions and coordinate annual audits and queries

Manage non-product billings process

Perform monthly Accounts Receivable clearing process

Support audit requirements and tracking deliverables with external and internal auditors

Preparation of statutory reporting and statements for excise tax and Statistics Canada surveys

Support payroll scheduling

Work with SAP requisitions and purchase orders

Ad hoc reporting and assisting our business partners as required

Key Ingredients:

You have a diploma or equivalent experience (2+ years) in the field of accounting

You have strong analytical ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve complex problems

You have solid knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and internal control

You have knowledge of SAP which is a plus

You have Strong ability to work independently and within cross functional teams

You have strong Excel, communication and leadership skills

You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities

You build relationships and collaborate to get to the desired outcome

You take accountability for results – acting with integrity and honoring commitments

You have a thirst for learning – you are always looking for ways to learn and help one another grow
