As a Non-profit Business Development Analyst, you'll identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase revenue and market share for our organization, while also analyzing data to support strategic decision-making. This role involves market research, developing and implementing growth strategies, fostering relationships with stakeholders, and tracking key performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research and Analysis: You'll conduct thorough research to identify potential business opportunities, analyzing market trends and assessing the competitive landscape.

Strategic Planning: You'll develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies aligned with our organization's overall goals.

Relationship Building: You'll cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and potential clients to foster collaboration and drive growth.

Data Analysis and Reporting: You'll analyze data related to program performance, financials, or donor engagement to inform strategic decisions and track the effectiveness of business development initiatives.

Proposal Development and Presentation: You'll create persuasive proposals and presentations for potential clients and partners, demonstrating our organization's value proposition and expertise.

Performance Tracking and Reporting: You'll monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of your business development efforts and make data-driven adjustments.

Collaboration: You'll work with various teams within the organization, such as marketing, program, and fundraising, to create tailored solutions and drive revenue growth.

Skills and Qualifications:

Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: You have the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions.

Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: You can effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders, build strong relationships, and present information clearly.

Strategic Thinking and Planning: You're able to develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies that align with organizational goals.

Knowledge of Market Research and Analysis Techniques: You understand how to conduct market research, analyze data, and identify potential opportunities.

Proficiency in Data Analysis Tools: You're familiar with tools like Excel, Salesforce, or Tableau for data analysis and reporting.

Understanding of the Non-profit Sector: You have knowledge of the unique challenges and opportunities within the non-profit sector.

Experience in Business Development, Sales, or Related Field: You have relevant experience in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Nonprofit Management, or related field.

3–5 years of experience in business development, consulting, or nonprofit growth roles.

Proven record of identifying opportunities and converting them into sustainable revenue.

Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing external partnerships.

Familiarity with social impact measurement or nonprofit funding models.

Time Commitment

This is a part-time volunteer role requiring an average of 15–20 hours per month.

Flexibility may be required during peak campaign periods, proposal deadlines, or partnership negotiations.

Remote/In-Person Status

Primarily remote, with structured team check-ins and reporting.

Occasional in-person attendance may be required for strategy workshops, partner meetings, or high-level presentations.
