Opportunity:
Nurse Practitioner - Surgery Vascular
Job Details:
NP First Assist Vascular Surgery position from December 1 to April 2
Monday-Thursday schedule from 7: 00 AM to 5: 00 PM (four 10-hour shifts)
Weekend call rotation 1: 4 (Friday evening through Monday morning)
When on weekend call, rounds with vascular surgeon once on Saturday and once on Sunday mornings
Daily duties include performing surgeries (2-6 per day) and rounding on patients (10-20 inpatient)
Surgical procedures include vein harvesting, arteriovenous procedures, aortagrams, bypasses, angiograms, TEE, T-Bars, B-Bars, TAAs, and endovascular procedures
Additional responsibilities include discharge orders, rounding, and floating between OR and floor
Must be certified with Ohio license
ACLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of experience required
Level 1 trauma facility experience strongly preferred
EMR system is Epic

This facility is a 434-bed Level 1 trauma center providing comprehensive medical care to the Columbus area. The vascular surgery department features a team of specialized providers who handle a variety of vascular procedures and interventions. The hospital is equipped with modern technology and offers emergency privileges to qualified practitioners. As a busy trauma center, providers may occasionally be involved in trauma cases in addition to scheduled vascular surgeries.
