We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Director of Finance to oversee all financial aspects of our hotel operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Hotel Accounting and a deep understanding of the hospitality industry. As the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for the financial health of our company by managing our financial procedures. You will be tasked with strategic planning, managing profitability, conducting financial analysis, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and collaborating with senior management to make critical business decisions.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure.

2. Coordinate, analyze, and report the financial performance to Management and Board of Directors (financial performance, projections and other special projects as required).

3. Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties.

4. Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinate activities with outside audit firms and review firms performance.

5. Develop, implement and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures for a wide-ranging set of activities including financial accounting and reporting, employee relations (hiring/terminating policies) and other corporate policies.

6. Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP, SEC rules and regulations including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

7. Responsible for all corporate and human resource activities including employee benefits, retirement plans, corporate insurance and related activities. This includes the coordination of these activities with all satellite offices as well.

8. You must have strong experience with Hotel Accounting and hospitality to be considered for this role.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. A Master's degree, CPA, or CMA is highly preferred.

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior finance role in the hospitality industry, with a focus on Hotel Accounting.

3. Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting in a hotel or hospitality setting.

4. Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC rules and regulations, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

5. Excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to lead a team to meet financial objectives.

6. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic approach to achieving tasks.

8. Proficiency in financial software and databases, as well as Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
