Job Title: Production Assistant
Department: Manufacturing / Production
Reports To: Production Manager
Schedule: Mondayâ Friday, First Shift (typically starting at 7:00 AM)
Position Summary
The Production Assistant supports daily manufacturing operations, focusing on bottling and the handling of bulk liquid products. This role works closely with the Production Manager to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production processes. Responsibilities include hands-on work on the bottling line, handling bulk materials, loading and unloading flexi tanks and tankers, and assisting with equipment setup, maintenance, and process improvement. The ideal candidate will have prior manufacturing experience and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and assist on the bottling and production lines to ensure production schedules and quality standards are met.
Support inbounding and unloading of flexi tanks and loading of tanker trucks in compliance with safety and quality protocols.
Work closely with the Production Manager in daily production activities, learning and assisting in all aspects of operations.
Participate in equipment setup, changeovers, and preventive maintenance routines.
Monitor production equipment during runs and promptly report any issues or malfunctions.
Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and safety regulations.
Assist with quality control checks to ensure all products meet required specifications.
Maintain accurate production and maintenance logs.
Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency and minimize downtime.
Cross-train in multiple areas of production to ensure flexibility and operational coverage.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 2â 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment (required).
Experience with bottling operations or liquid handling preferred.
Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Forklift or material handling experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Bilingual (Italian/English or Spanish/English) strongly preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training a plus.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing setting with noise, temperature changes, and moving machinery.
Must be able to wear and properly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
