Minimum Qualifications:

Current enrollment in baccalaureate or graduate degree program.

Desired Qualities:

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Basic knowledge of a statistical program such as SAS, SPSS, STATA, or R

Minimal experience with quantitative research methods

Capable of working independently and in a team-setting

Self-motivated

Ability to write succinctly and clearly

Flexible and adaptable to fluctuating circumstances

Interested in education policy and research

Experience working in a professional environment

Works with Research Office and partnering DEW offices to define problems and opportunities that require new analysis, research, or evaluation;

Collects data and information from publicly available sources;

Assesses the quality and utility of available data and research;

Develops tools and protocols for quantitative analysis;

Analyzes data with statistical software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, R);

Creates data visualizations and summaries (e.g., Excel, Tableau, PowerBI, ArcGIS); and

Assists in writing and editing reports and preparing presentations.
