Description:

Samson Rose has been exclusively engaged by a pioneering Robotics & AI company in Southern California to find top-tier engineers for multiple high-impact roles, including Robotics AI Engineers focused on Calibration, Localization, and Mapping. Each role plays a critical part in building autonomous systems that operate effectively in unstructured, real-world environments. Whether your expertise lies in developing production-quality code for SLAM, refining calibration pipelines across sensing modalities, or optimizing LiDAR-based 3D perception, this is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on next-generation robotics platforms.

A little about them:

They are at the forefront of developing a groundbreaking, field-proven, hardware-agnostic brain technology that empowers a wide range of robots to operate autonomously in the most challenging environments-hazardous, off-road, and industrial settings-all without relying on GPS, maps, or pre-programmed routes.

With over $100 million in funding from visionary leaders and institutions, they have the resources to rapidly turn their bold vision into reality and are making significant strides toward their ambitious goals.

Their mission is to tackle one of the world's most complex challenges: deploying robots in unstructured, previously unknown environments.

By joining their team, you'll have the chance to collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the industry. This world-class team thrives on creativity, resilience, and bold thinking. With a decade of success in the field, they've won DARPA challenge segments and brought together expertise from top-tier organizations like DeepMind, NASA JPL, Boston Dynamics, NVIDIA, Amazon, Tesla Autopilot, Cruise Self-Driving, Zoox, Toyota Research Institute, and SpaceX. Robotics AI - Calibration, Localization and Mapping - What You'll Do:

Design and implement state-of-the-art calibration, localization, and mapping algorithms for our autonomous quadrupeds and humanoids

Develop various tools and metrics to continuously validate and benchmark the performance of our various subsystems

Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in C++ and Python

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and deploy your algorithms into real-world systems Sensor Calibration Engineer - What You'll Do:

Develop and refine calibration workflows for LiDAR, cameras, and IMUs-covering intrinsic, extrinsic, and temporal calibration in both online and offline settings.

Design scalable systems for managing large sensor datasets with high performance and reliability.

Implement and optimize algorithms in C++ and Python with clean, modular code.

Integrate emerging technologies to enhance calibration capabilities.

Collaborate with teams to meet technical documentation and project deliverables. LiDAR Mapping Engineer - What You'll Do:

Build point cloud processing pipelines including scan alignment, noise reduction, segmentation, and object detection.

Design scalable systems to store/manage large 3D datasets.

Optimize C++ and Python algorithms in a production-grade codebase.

Explore new tools and technologies for point cloud workflows.

Ensure compliance with 3D data standards and collaborate across teams for deliverables.

If one of these roles aligns with your expertise or you're open to learning more, please apply with your current resume. We'll follow up to schedule an initial call.
