The **Senior Sales Account Executive – SME, Corporate & TMC (Australia)** is responsible for driving revenue growth and increasing market share for Delta in Australia. This includes managing relationships with key Travel Management Companies, local corporate accounts, and assigned strategic global/multi-national accounts. The role also serves as the **SME business champion** , leading initiatives to expand this channel and enhance Delta’s presence in the corporate travel sector.
The position reports to the **Country Manager, Australia and New Zealand** , and is based in either **Sydney or Melbourne** .
**Primary duties include but are not limited to:**
1. **Market Intelligence & Positioning**
2. Gather and analyse market intelligence to maintain Delta’s competitive edge.
3. Share insights to inform strategic decisions and sales planning.
4. **Sales Strategy & Growth**
5. Develop and execute strategies to grow premium, corporate, and SME revenue.
6. Champion the SME channel, driving targeted initiatives to expand market share.
7. Grow and retain accounts within the assigned portfolio and region.
8. **Account Management**
9. Negotiate and manage contracts with local corporate clients.
10. Maintain strong relationships with assigned TMCs.
11. Serve as the local liaison for APAC Global Agency and GMNA portfolio accounts to ensure contract fulfilment and sales goal achievement.
12. Conduct regular business reviews to ensure alignment and performance.
13. **Data & Performance Analysis**
14. Monitor account performance using data-driven insights.
15. Identify revenue opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
16. Prepare reports and manage sales administration in line with company standards.
17. **Engagement & Representation**
18. Represent Delta at industry events, expos, and launches.
19. Deliver tailored sales messaging to diverse audiences.
20. Contribute to local corporate communications such as newsletters and updates.
21. **Collaboration**
22. Support the Country Manager in managing internal and external stakeholder relationships.
23. Align strategies with APAC Global Agency Sales and GMNA teams.
24. Partner with internal teams to ensure consistent account support and execution.
25. Foster agency engagement through regular meetings and joint initiatives.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
+ Must have current authorization to work and live in Australia at the time of your application. Delta does not sponsor for this role.
+ Minimum 5 years of airline corporate sales experience in international markets.
+ Proven success in negotiating with corporations and TMCs.
+ Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
+ Highly self-motivated, adaptable, and results-oriented.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Confident public speaker with strong presentation abilities.
+ Consultative approach to account management with a track record of building profitable relationships.
