App Dev - Java - Guru

THIS REQ IS A PIPELINE FOR WHAT IS CURRENTLY A TOTAL OF 4 CONTRACTORS (ALL WITH THE EXACT SAME CANDIDATE PROFILE) THAT THE MANAGER WANTS TO BRING ONTO HIS TEAM***

*hybrid with physical attendance onsite 3 days per week (choice of days among Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) in McLean is required*

Responsibilities:

Dynamic full stack engineer to integrate with a fast paced agile software development team.

Develop applications that integrate with Relational Databases, NoSQL Databases, and Redis Cache.

Create and utilize existing API's for CRUD and restful interactions.

Leverage streaming data sources for data processing and ETL jobs.

Willingness to challenge the status quo and ensure the solutions delivered really do solve the problem we've been asked to address.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree

At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience

At least 3+ years working with a primary coding language like Python or Core Java.

At least 3+ years Spring Boot based API development

At least 3+ years experience with DevOps, Jenkins

Familiarity with relational database designs (STAR schema principals, etc)

At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS )

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree

5+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Core Java, Scala, Python, Go

At least 3+ years Spring Boot based API development

At least 3+ years experience with DevOps, Jenkins

3+ years of experience with AWS or another cloud service

4+ years of experience in open source frameworks

3+ years of experience in Agile practices
