Instructional Designer

Retail industry leader seeking a motivated Junior Instructional Designer to join our Strategic Selling and Learning & Development team. This individual contributor role focuses on writing, developing, and delivering high-quality learning materials that strengthen field associate product knowledge. The ideal candidate combines creativity and precision with a collaborative mindset, supporting initiatives that drive sales performance and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Write, design, and deliver engaging training content including video scripts, eLearning modules, and print materials.
Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure content accuracy and alignment with business goals.
Revise and update existing learning materials to reflect current strategies and new approaches.
Apply instructional design best practices and adult learning principles to create effective training solutions.
Demonstrate strong verbal communication skills, including listening, probing for understanding, and articulating ideas clearly.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
Collaborate with a team supporting all store learning and development initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or related field.
1–3 years of experience in instructional design, content development, or formal writing.
Proficiency with Articulate 360 and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to adapt in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Learning agility and a proactive, self-starter mindset.
Preferred Experience:
Retail or field learning experience.
Familiarity with eLearning development tools and Learning Management Systems.
