We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Analyst with payroll tax experience to support our Tax and Accounting team during a high-volume reporting season. This individual contributor role focuses on improving tax filing processes, ensuring accuracy in multi-state payroll tax compliance, and supporting ongoing tax operations.
Responsibilities:
Recommend procedural improvements to enhance the efficiency of the tax filing process.
Coordinate the timely receipt of information from various business units for return preparation.
Identify tax savings opportunities during return preparation and assist with reconciliations.
Review and validate payroll tax data from systems such as Oracle HCM and ADP Smart Compliance.
Communicate tax discrepancies, errors, and issues promptly to management.
Collaborate closely with Payroll Operations and Accounting teams to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Maintain organized documentation and assist with audits as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 years of experience in tax
Experience managing multi-state tax filings.
Proficiency with Oracle HCM and ADP Smart Compliance strongly preferred.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize high-volume workloads.
Team Environment:
You’ll join a small, collaborative team consisting of two accountants, a Tax Manager, and a VP, while also partnering closely with a seven-member Payroll Operations team. This role offers exposure to both accounting and payroll processes and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully during the busy season.
