General Description
The Higher Education Program Coordinator will administer the Career Training Scholarship, Commendation and Stole Program, and the Trust Scholarships. The Coordinator will be responsible for answering incoming calls, request and collect all required data for the processing of all incoming applications, explaining the need for such documentation, and determining the eligibility of applicants. The Coordinator will act as a liaison between Scholarship America, the Osage Nation Education Department, and Osage Constituents for the Higher Education Scholarship program and is responsible for reviewing scholarship appeals and verifying tribal membership for all applicants.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, or closely related field is required; Master's degree preferred
At least three (3) to five (5) years of related work experience preferred
Requires the ability to organize, direct, and perform duties and tasks in a manner conducive to full performance and high morale
Requires excellent writing skills
Must have knowledge of office administration and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information
Must be willing to travel and attend meetings as needed
Requires flexibility in working hours
Must have the ability to teach parent/student/teacher workshops
Must be able to operate fax machines, copiers, and use proper phone etiquette
Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance that positively represents the Nation
Must have knowledge of current school laws
Requires effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills
Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics
Requires a high level of problem solving skills
Requires the willingness & ability to learn new skills, including travel to conferences & training sessions
Requires the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs and other online/database systems
Requires good interpersonal communication and team work skills
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Must be able to pass drug/alcohol testing
Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record - may be required to drive GSA or tribal vehicles
