Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1830-$1880

PACU RN Job Details

Job Title: PACU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Contract

Location: Columbus, Ohio (ZIP 43210)

Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/15/2025 – End: 3/16/2026)

Shift: Day shifts, 12 hours (5:00am–5:30pm and 8:00am–8:30pm; rotating opener/closer)

Hours per Week: 36

Call: Required; every third weekend

Patient Ratio: 1:1

Facility Type: Level 1 Trauma Center / Outpatient (preferred)

PACU Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license in Ohio or compact state (required at submission)

Minimum 2 years of recent PACU or Pre/Post-Operative RN experience

Experience with Epic electronic charting system

BLS certification (required)

ACLS certification (preferred)

Previous charge nurse experience (preferred)

Experience in Level 1 Trauma Center and Outpatient settings (preferred)

Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program

Two professional references (one from a manager, director, or supervisor)

PACU RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality pre- and post-operative nursing care to adult cardiac and vascular patients

Monitor, assess, and ensure patient safety and comfort during PACU recovery

Utilize Epic for accurate and timely clinical documentation

Assist with and manage procedures such as CABG, AAA repair, TAVR, EVAR, vascular bypasses, angiograms, pulmonary decortication, and ablation

Administer medications, manage IVs, and respond to emergencies

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services

Educate patients and families on pre- and post-operative care plans

Participate in call rotation and provide weekend coverage as scheduled
