About the Opportunity

A growing metal fabrication and distribution company is seeking an Inside Sales / Fabrication Estimator to join its Columbus-based team.

This position combines inside sales, estimating, and customer support — ideal for someone who enjoys working with both people and technical details.

You’ll prepare quotes for fabrication projects, interact directly with customers, and collaborate closely with operations to ensure accuracy and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and manage quotes and estimates for fabrication services including sawing, thermal cutting, welding, press brake, and assembly.

Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and BOMs to develop accurate project costs.

Communicate with customer buyers, engineers, and internal production teams to clarify job details and timelines.

Support project management and order follow-up to ensure successful completion.

Maintain accurate records and follow established quoting and sales procedures.

Qualifications

2–3 years of inside sales or estimating experience (preferably in metals, manufacturing, or fabrication).

Ability to read fabrication drawings and prints.

Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.

Dependable, detail-oriented, and team-focused.

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have):

Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or nesting/CAD programs.

Familiarity with AS400 or similar ERP systems.

Understanding of fabrication processes and mechanical components.
