Perform as the Lead and Subject Matter Expert for AEP’s Fleet Telematics program (in-vehicle cameras, Geotab Fleet tracking, industry benchmarking) and associated Telematics reporting, lead and support other assigned initiatives pertaining to more complex Fleet initiatives and support the Business Unit requirements for successful Fleet operations. Program manager for specific telematic projects by providing expertise to team members in a variety of strategic areas including telematics pilot programs, sourcing, installation, contract knowledge, software provisioning and access, inventory management, reporting, etc. Responsible for providing necessary reporting to the team to accomplish the best possible analysis and recommendation on each initiative. Act as the liaison to senior Management and executive sponsors associated with AEP’s telematics program. Act as primary point of contact for interested parties to Fleet initiatives and be the main spokesperson to stakeholders when requested. Work with a sense of urgency and accountability.
Job Description
What You'll Do:
Lead as AEP’s Fleet Telematic program manager. Manage and provide guidance to team members involved with Fleet telematics.
Provide support to the Operating Companies and Business Units for successful implementation, management, maintenance, and reporting on Fleet Telematics.
Active inventory management on the Telematics program with over 7,500 cameras and associated subscriptions.
Coordinate multiple pilots with potential vendors, as necessary. Manage the pilot activities, collaborating with Safety and Health and Business Unit partners for scheduling installation, monitoring and analyzing data, and contributing to the decision-making process.
Manage access to Telematic platforms; work with the vendors on data requirements; provide data for benchmarking programs; and research Telematic video and GPS requests from both within and outside of AEP.
Engage with the associated Telematics vendors and build successful operational partnerships.
Support Fleet initiatives by balancing a Fleet customer service-oriented role with a Fleet governance role resulting in keen internal Fleet guidance.
Communicate initiative progress and make presentations as appropriate to senior leaders and Business Unit management concerning specific initiatives. Train, advise and counsel team members as needed on key activities and maintain team focus on specified initiative objectives.
Manage and facilitate issues resolution involving senior management and other stakeholders’ interaction.
Develop recommendations for strategic initiative implementation with alternative solutions being provided.
Demonstrate the highest standards of ethical behavior and support the Company's Corporate Compliance Policy.
Promote and enforce the Company's Accident Prevention and Safety and Health programs.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Finance or related field of study and a minimum seven years of supply chain or related experience, or Associate's degree Business Administration, Procurement, Finance or related field of study and a minimum of 10 years of supply chain or related experience, or High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 15 years of supply chain or related experience.
Experience should reflect positions of increasing responsibility. Supervisory and/or business case analysis experience is preferred but not required.
